Sister of suspect in New Iberia homicide spoke out
NEW IBERIA, La. (KLFY)- Markisha Adams told News 10 the homicide stemmed from previous traumatic events. Adams, the sister of the suspect, 36-year-old Marklin Reaux, claimed this was an act of self-defense.
This comes after the New Iberia Police Department said they were called to the 200 block of Pollard Avenue around 9 o'clock Saturday morning for a welfare concern. When detectives arrived, they found a man dead inside of a home. While at the home, officers discovered the vehicle of the deceased man was not at the home.
