EVMs 'safe', 'tamper-proof': Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar

Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar affirmed the integrity of India's Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) in Ramgarh, Jharkhand, stating they are "safe" and "tamper-proof." He emphasized that the EVMs cannot connect to the internet, Bluetooth, or infrared, making manipulation impossible. Kumar also reported that over five crore VVPAT slips have been counted without any discrepancies.
