Bowen Yang Opens Up About Undergoing 'Detrimental' Conversion Therapy as a Teenager

Bowen Yang discusses his experience undergoing conversion therapy as a teenager.

The 34-year-old Saturday Night Live star opened up about how his family reacted to finding about his sexuality when he was a high school student in Colorado.

“I ‘came out’ in a sense that my parents just sort of stumbled upon something, and they were like ‘Oh, we didn’t realize this is what we were dealing with.’ I give them a lot of grace for that because they just had no context for it,” Bowen told Willie Geist in a new interview.
