‘Gaurav’ hits the mark: Sukhoi-30 MKI successfully launches 1,000-kg glide bomb with pinpoint accuracy
India has successfully tested its homegrown long-range glide bomb Gaurav, a 1,000-kg class weapon developed by DRDO. Conducted from a Sukhoi-30 MKI over three days, the trials showed the bomb could hit targets nearly 100 km away with high accuracy. The project involved private sector defence firms and quality assurance bodies. The trials mark a key step towards induction into the Indian Air Force, strengthening India's indigenous defence capabilities.
