New Requirement for Every Airline Passenger Starts Soon

Those planning to fly from May 7, 2025, on will have a new requirement to fulfill put in place by the federal government.

That's because the federal REAL ID deadline is coming up on May 7. Anyone who wants to fly within the United States will be required to have a REAL ID.

"Passed by Congress in 2005, the REAL ID Act enacted the 9/11 Commission's recommendation that the Federal Government 'set standards for the issuance of sources of identification, such as driver's licenses,'" according to the United States Government.
