Brief escape from jail leads to more charges for Louisiana woman

MINDEN, La. (KTAL/KMSS) - Webster Parish Sheriff's deputies quickly captured a Springhill woman who escaped from jail on April 9, 2025.

Sheriff Jason Parker said 19-year-old Kaylee Jones enjoyed less than 15 minutes of freedom after leaving the fourth-floor jail at the Webster Parish courthouse around 11:30 a.m.

Springhill police officers initially arrested Jones on April 4, 2025, for possession of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia. She was being held on a $2,500 bond.
