New blackout-style license plates get the green light in Kansas, what that means

TOPEKA (KSNT) - Drivers in Kansas will soon have three new license plate options to choose from thanks to action taken by the state's lawmakers this week.

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly signed House Bill 2201 on Wednesday, April 9 which allows Kansans to acquire three new types of distinctive license plates. These new designs include the National Future Farmers of America (FFA), Route 66 Association of Kansas and blackout-style license plates.
