Second person succumbs to injuries from Fremont apartment fire

FREMONT — A second woman has died from injuries suffered in a two-alarm apartment building fire Sunday, authorities said Wednesday.

The coroner’s bureau identified her as Lori Long, 62, of Fremont. She died Tuesday at a hospital.

She was apparently the second person to fall from the balcony of the fourth floor apartment where the fire started.

Authorities have not yet said if she lived in the unit or how she knew the other woman already reported killed.
