Notre Dame baseball shuts out Harvard-Westlake for big Mission League win
SHERMAN OAKS — From an early age, children learn not to judge a book by its cover.
In sports, the adage goes “don’t judge a team by their record.”
Notre Dame’s baseball team added validity to that saying Tuesday by pitching a shutout and scoring seven runs in a 7-0 victory at home against Harvard-Westlake, which is No. 2 in the Daily News rankings.
The Mission League win was a big boost for a Notre Dame team that last week was dealt a 23-2 loss by Alemany.
