Former Oakland A’s pitcher Octavio Dotel killed in nightclub roof collapse in Dominican Republic

Former Oakland A’s reliever Octavio Dotel was among the victims who died after the roof collapsed at a nightclub in the Dominican Republic early Tuesday morning, according to multiple reports.

He was 51.

At least 44 people died and at least 160 were injured when the roof collapsed at the Jet Set nightclub in Dotel’s hometown of Santo Domingo, where a concert was taking place, according to authorities.
