Foreign capital drives surge in Finnish startup funding

Startup investments in Finland rose to €1.4 billion in 2024, marking a 56 percent increase compared to the previous year, according to new data from Pääomasijoittajat ry. The growth contrasts with declining figures across most of Europe.

Foreign investors accounted for €957 million of the total, representing a 70 percent year-on-year rise. In 2023, international investment stood at €564 million.
