Homopticum reimagines Playboy culture through queer performance at Kiasma

A new performance work by choreographer Juan Pablo Cámara and visual artist Andrey Bogush opens at Helsinki’s Kiasma Theatre from 25 to 29 April.

Homopticum takes aim at the legacy of the Playboy empire, drawing on references from dating apps, peep shows and dark rooms. The work explores the intersections of spectacle, control, and the physical experience of desire through a dystopian lens.
