India's 'applied tariffs' to US only 7-8%, not humongous: Piyush Goyal

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal on Monday said India’s applied tariffs on the U.S. average just 7–8%, calling them moderate and necessary to guard against unfair trade practices. In contrast, the U.S. recently imposed a 26% reciprocal tariff on India.
