'Rankled' Trump issues veto threat over Chuck Grassley's bipartisan tariff bill

President Donald Trump has reportedly threatened to veto a tariff bill sponsored by Sens. Maria Cantwell (D-WA) and Chuck Grassley (R-IA).

Axios reported on Monday that the White House objected to the bill that would limit the president's ability to impose tariffs without first notifying Congress.

"If passed, this bill would dangerously hamper the President's authority and duty to determine our foreign policy and protect our national security," a White House statement sent to congressional offices said.
