In 2018, Manjit Singh GK received a pen drive allegedly containing Congress leader Jagdish Tytler's confession to his role in the killing of 100 Sikhs during the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. GK submitted the recording to investigating agencies, and forensic analysis confirmed the voice in the pen drive matched Tytler's, linking him to the Pul Bangash Gurdwara killings.
