In 1959, eight-year-old Jay North became a household name when he landed the title role in the very first Dennis the Menace TV series, which ran for four seasons on CBS. On April 6, it was announced that North passed away at the age of 73 following a long battle with cancer.
As Variety reports, the news came via a Facebook post from North’s longtime friend, Laurie Jacobson, who noted that the former child actor “passed away peacefully at home” on Sunday afternoon.
