Delhi Metro to launch India’s first 3-coach train corridor for short-distance travel

Delhi Metro will introduce India’s first 3-coach train corridor on the Lajpat Nagar–Saket G Block line under Phase-IV. Designed for short-distance urban travel, this 8 km line will improve last-mile connectivity with eight stations. With projected ridership growing from 60,000 in 2025 to 1.2 lakh by 2041, the smaller train system offers cost-effective, efficient, and congestion-free commuting.
