Agusta accused Christian Michel alleges poisoning plot in jail, Delhi Court orders probe

Christian Michel, alleged middleman in the AgustaWestland chopper deal, has claimed that there were attempts to poison him in Tihar Jail back in 2019. A Delhi court has now asked prison authorities to respond to these allegations and file a status report by 16 April. Michel, currently incarcerated, also declined bail citing safety concerns. The court has ordered his medical evaluation at AIIMS following post-surgery pain. Michel says he would rather serve out his sentence than risk harm outside prison.
