Over 800 gamers gather in Troy for ECAC Esports Spring Showdown

TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Over 800 gamers from across the state will be in Troy over the weekend for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Esports Spring Showdown. It's taking place at RPI.

Officials said interest in esports is growing, especially on the collegiate level. It's become a great way for universities to increase enrollment as many of the gamers are STEM majors.
