55-year-old dies in Neosho Co. crash

NEOSHO COUNTY (KSNT) - A 55-year-old woman from Chanute died in a two-vehicle crash on Thursday in Neosho County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP), around 8 p.m., the 55-year-old was driving a Nissan Kicks north on Highway 169. Another driver, a 76-year-old man, was driving a GMC Sierra south on Highway 169.

According to the KHP, the 55-year-old's vehicle veered into the northbound lane, and the 76-year-old was unable to avoid the crash. The two vehicles hit offset head-on near the center of the road.
