Trump jets off to Florida for a golf tournament after sending US economy into 'panic mode'

Global financial markets were roiled by Donald Trump’s latest tariff announcement and trillions of dollars were knocked off the value of the world’s biggest companies and heightened fears of a US recession. After announcing sweeping tariffs, Trump flew to Florida to spend parts of his weekend at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter and at his home at Mar-a-Lago.
