During the Universal Pictures presentation at 2025 CinemaCon on Wednesday afternoon (April 2) at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, it was announced the a sequel is already in the works.

The news comes months ahead of the release of the first live-action adaptation!

Per Variety, the second installment is currently slated to be released in theaters on June 11, 2027, two years after the first movie.
