'White Lotus' Star Left Avengers Franchise Over Paycheck

The White Lotus star Carrie Coon dabbled in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when she lent her voice to Proxima Midnight in 2018's Avengers: Infinity War.

Coon's voice resonated with the audience, so it seemed like the logical next step was to bring her back for 2019's Avengers: Endgame. An invite was extended but Coon declined, and now her husband, the actor and playwright Tracy Letts, has revealed the reason.

Speaking to The Big Picture podcast, Letts revealed that it was all about the Benjamins, or lack thereof.
