Trump imposes tariffs on all US imports, hits China and EU hardest
The U.S. government, under President Donald Trump, has announced a 10% tariff on all imports, with higher tariffs imposed on goods from China, the European Union, Japan, and India.
According to The New York Times, Trump revealed this policy at a White House event, presenting it as part of his broader economic strategy aimed at reshaping international trade.
China will face a 34% tariff on its exports to the U.S., while the EU, Japan, and India will be subjected to 20%, 24%, and 26% tariffs, respectively.
