President Donald Trump claimed that the US has been ‘looted, pillaged, raped’ by other countries while unveiling new tariffs under a plan he insists will ‘Make America Wealthy Again’.

Trump announced sweeping reciprocal tariffs during an event at the Rose Garden of the White House late afternoon on April 2, which he deemed ‘Liberation Day’.
