Karnataka HC bans Ola, Uber, Rapido bike taxi services till rules framed, grants six week reprieve

Justice BM Shyam Prasad ruled that bike taxis cannot operate until the state government frames rules facilitating such bike taxi services under the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. The state government banned bike taxi services in March last year, citing poor adoption of electric two-wheelers by ride-hailing platforms and misuse of existing policies.
