A very windy day ahead for Acadiana

Southerly winds will be very strong across Acadiana today. Winds are already gusting over 20 mph this morning. Gusts could get as strong as 45 mph during the afternoon. Otherwise, the weather will be very warm and muggy with highs in the mid 80s. Skies stay mostly cloudy but rain chances are minimal.

Minor coastal flooding is possible today and tomorrow as southerly winds stay strong.
