Val Kilmer, 'Top Gun' Actor, Dead at 65

Val Kilmer, the Hollywood actor known for his leading roles in Top Gun and as Batman in Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever, passed away on Tuesday in Los Angeles at the age of 65, The New York Times reports. 

According to his daughter, Mercedes Kilmer, the cause of his death was pneumonia. She also mentioned that Mr. Kilmer had been diagnosed with throat cancer in 2014 but had since recovered.

Kilmer gained notice in comedy films such as notably in Top Secret!
