You might be consuming detergent powder, chemicals while eating ice cream in Karnataka

The Food Safety and Drug Administration Department (FDA) has flagged 97 out of 220 local ice cream, ice candy, and cool drink shops in Karnataka for selling substandard products under unhygienic conditions. Violations include the use of detergent powder to adulterate creams and phosphoric acid to enhance the fizz in cool drinks.
