UK introduces new travel authorisation for European passport holders

Travellers entering the United Kingdom with a European passport must now obtain a separate travel authorisation under new rules introduced on Wednesday.

The Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) is required for entry and must be linked to the traveller's passport. Applications can be submitted online or via a mobile app.
