Man pleads guilty to murder of parents, sentenced to life in prison

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A Williamson County man pleaded guilty on Monday in connection with the murder of his parents at their Georgetown home in January 2024.

A Williamson County District Attorney's Office press release said Seth Carnes, 47, was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole.

According to the press release, Carnes was indicted in connection with the death of his parents, retired District Court Judge Alfred Carnes and Susan Carnes.
