Flash floods in Acadia Parish force residents to evacuate due to heavy rain

CROWLEY, La. (KLFY) -- Parts of Acadia Parish experienced yet another day of flash flooding. Some residents say they were forced to evacuate their homes due to the high water.

This comes after Acadia Parish experienced previous heavy rainfall on Saturday, and now today. Radar estimates show around 7 to 8 inches of rain has fallen in the area, with additional rainfall amounts today.

News 10 traveled to Standard Mill Road in Crowley where there was still a great amount of accumulating water on the roadway.
