One in six Finns did not vote in any election in recent years

Between 2021 and 2024, 31.4 percent of eligible voters in Finland cast a vote in all five elections held during the period, according to Sami Fredriksson, Senior Statistician at Statistics Finland.

These included the 2021 municipal elections, 2022 regional elections, 2023 parliamentary elections, and both the 2024 European Parliament and presidential elections.
