Mayor Adams' lawyer urges ‘prompt resolution’ ahead of election deadline
NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) – With a filing deadline approaching in New York City’s upcoming mayoral election, Mayor Eric Adams’ lawyer has urged a judge to "promptly" issue a decision in the mayor’s bribery case.
Petitions are due this week for candidates to appear on a party's primary ballot. Candidates started collecting signatures on petitions in February. Candidates running as an independent have from April 15 to May 27 to submit their petitions.
