Fabrizio Romano confirms Man United’s interest in 42-goal striker, but transfer battle looms

Sporting CP star Viktor Gyokeres is one of the strikers linked with Manchester United.

The 26-year-old played under manager Ruben Amorim at Sporting, increasing the likelihood of a potential reunion with the Portuguese tactician.

Gyokeres is among Europe’s elite strikers, contributing 42 goals and 11 assists in 42 appearances for Sporting this term.

He won the Primeira Liga Golden Boot last season and is on track to claim the award again this term.
