Imports, price challenges to affect stainless steel sector in Q1: Experts

Imports from China and Vietnam will challenge the domestic stainless steel industry in Q1 FY26. The sector will also face raw material price volatility and global uncertainties. Despite having a production capacity of 7.5 million tonnes, 40% remains unutilised. Stainless steel consumption is projected to rise significantly by FY30.
