A teenager came close to suffering brain damage when she was jumped on by a group of schoolgirls, her mum has said.

Olivia Allan, 13, was attacked by a group of girls on her way back from school in Morecambe, Lancashire.

She was left with chipped teeth, injuries to her back and neck and bruises on her legs in the attack on Monday afternoon.

The ending could have been even worse if a stranger hadn’t intervened...
