Over 2,000 prisoners released in Afghanistan on the occasion of Eid-al-Fitr
The Supreme Court has announced the release of over 2,000 prisoners and the reduction of sentences for another 3,000 to mark Eid al-Fitr across Afghanistan.
The Taliban’s Supreme Court has announced the release of 2,463 prisoners across Afghanistan to mark the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. The release was ordered by Hibatullah Akhundzada, the leader of the Taliban, as part of a gesture of goodwill for the holiday.
