DA hiked by 2% for central govt staff

The union cabinet has approved a 2% hike in dearness allowance for central government employees and pensioners, effective from January 2025. This raise will impact over 115 lakh individuals and cost the exchequer ₹6,614.04 crore annually. Additionally, the cabinet sanctioned a ₹3,712.40 crore highway project in Bihar.
