Finland to fund recruitment of foreign researchers with €50 million call

The Research Council of Finland (RCF) is preparing a €50 million funding call to support Finnish universities in hiring international researchers between 2026 and 2030.

The initiative will form part of the RCF’s existing research profiling programme, known as the Profi scheme, which has been in place since 2015. The goal is to help universities strengthen their strategic focus areas and raise the overall quality of research conducted in Finland.
