Cabinet okays inclusion of Bihar's Kosi Mechi Intra-State Link Project under PMKSY-AIBP

The Cabinet has approved the inclusion of Bihar's Kosi Mechi Intra-State Link Project under the PMKSY-AIBP. The Rs 6,282.32 crore project will enhance irrigation and flood management, covering 2,10,516 hectares of farmland. Expected to complete by March 2029, it will remodel the Eastern Kosi Main Canal, diverting surplus Kosi water to Bihar's Mahananda basin.
