SC rejects plea to stop NTPC from encashing Rs 850 cr guarantees

The Supreme Court has allowed NTPC Ltd to proceed with encashing Rs 850 crore in bank guarantees from Jindal ITF Ltd, while the final hearing on the issue is set for April 17. Additionally, an arbitral award requiring NTPC to pay Rs 1,891 crore to Jindal ITF was nullified due to severe legal violations.
