DRI makes third arrest in gold smuggling case involving Kannada actor Ranya Rao

A gold dealer in Ballari has been arrested for allegedly aiding actress Harshavardhini Ranya Rao in disposing of smuggled gold worth Rs 12.56 crore. The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence conducted searches, recovering gold jewellery and currency from her residence. Ranya, the step-daughter of a high-ranking officer, and hotelier Tarun Raju are already in custody.
