Nirbhaya Fund not discontinued, 49 schemes being run under it: Govt

The Nirbhaya Fund has not been discontinued, as confirmed by Union Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi in Rajya Sabha. With 49 schemes currently running under this fund, it supports initiatives including one-stop centers for violence-affected women. For the fiscal year 2024-25, Rs 7,713 crore has been allocated, with 76% already spent.
