Letter: Blind loyalty, not competence, key requirement for Trump Cabinet

The alarming security breach by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth revealing war plans just demonstrates what everyone who isn’t a Trump acolyte has known for a long time. Trump’s picks to run our top government departments are incompetent, reckless, and ignorant about what is needed to do the job. Blind fealty to the president is not a qualification to lead the nation’s most important offices.
