PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Summer-like heat broke records around Portland on Tuesday afternoon as highs soared into the upper 70s.
Preliminary temperatures put Portland at 79 degrees on Tuesday afternoon. That high breaks the old record of 74 degrees last set on March 25, 1966. Tuesday's temperature is the warmest Portland has seen since mid-October 2024.
Tornadoes, 60 mph winds, large hail could hit Portland area on Wednesday
Another round of records are expected to fall on Wednesday.
