Jakob Chychrun signs 8-year extension with Washington Capitals worth $72 million

Jakob Chychrun has signed an eight-year extension worth $72 million with the Washington Capitals, making him the highest-paid defenseman in the team. He was acquired from the Ottawa Senators last summer. With Chychrun's extension, the Capitals now have three defensemen locked in the side at least till 2029.
