Kerala Govt to press Centre for regulating exorbitant airfares for Haj pilgrims, expats: CM Pinarayi Vijayan
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan stated that the state government will continue to pressure the union government to regulate high ticket fares charged by airlines for Haj pilgrims and expatriates. Despite a letter sent to the Union Civil Aviation Minister, the Centre maintains that airlines set fares independently, citing the 1994 decision to remove airfare restrictions.
