Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputy-involved shooting

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KLFY) -- A domestic disturbance called turned into a shooting involving police in Calcasieu Parish.

Around 8 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence off Barn Stable Drive in Lake Charles.

Upon making contact with the suspect, officials said, a deputy-involved shooting occurred.

Officials said one individual was shot and taken to a hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
