Joel McHale Reveals How He Landed 'Yellowjackets' Season 3 Role & Gives Update on 'Community' Movie

Joel McHale reveals the unconventional way that he landed his pivotal Yellowjackets role, and gives an exciting new update on the Community movie.

The 53-year-old actor says that he was offered the role of wilderness guide Kodiak in the third season of the hit Showtime series after running into co-creator Ashley Lyle at a rock concert in Los Angeles.

“I probably had three IPAs in me. I guess I didn’t really take her seriously? We’re here watching Built to Spill and she’s like, ‘Would you be interested?’ F–ing yeah...
